PURiHIVE stands as ARTES London’s bold answer to the SKYHIVE 2020 Skyscraper Challenge, reimagining the skyscraper as a living, breathing part of West London’s urban fabric. The Challenge's vision called for a transformative, skyscraper design that harmonizes community, nature, and city life, addressing not just architectural grandeur, but also the profound impact of increased urban density on infrastructure, pollution, and social equity.

ARCHITECTURE
Embodying the ARTES London philosophy, the architectural approach features a striking exoskeleton façade inspired by movement, light, and the dynamic cityscape.
Rotated floor plates and a parametric triangular fenestration frame create a sculptural silhouette, optimizing daylight, breaking strong winds, and offering sweeping vistas across West London. The exoskeleton is both structural and expressive—maximizing usable space for residential and office use.

ENVIRONMENT + SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
PuriHiVE is a beacon, emerging from a shared commitment to innovation and sustainable architecture.
The design integrates nearly 1,800 green triangular walls, cultivating biodiversity and filtering urban air. Over 700 hempcrete infill panels absorb an estimated 53,100kg of CO₂, making the building truly carbon-negative. Prevailing winds and daily sun paths are harnessed for natural ventilation and optimal daylight, reducing energy needs.
