KASIA ZIOLKOWSKA

Kasia is a British-Polish architect graduated with merits from Greenwich University in London in 2012 and gained her professional qualifications from the prestigious Architectural Association in London.

Kasia’s interest in design and architecture came from an early age while growing up in Poland. She was surrounded and influenced by the craftsmanship of her family and a culture of ‘making’.

Her family’s carpentry business grew alongside her engagement with the processes of turning concepts into buildability and shortly followed by technical drawing competitions and awards. 

Kasia arrived to London in 2001 following her A-Levels and soon after she enrolled in interior architecture and design course at the Kensington & Chelsea College, thereafter pursued her architectural education to get awarded her degree at UOG  & qualifications at the AA.

Kasia’s work stretches across several high profile, complex and innovative projects working within residential, affordable and student accommodation sectors. Amongst those are 39 luxury apartments and penthouses in Park House, Mayfair, mix of over 400 private apartments and penthouses Highrise and affordable block of flats in Merchant Square, Paddington, 300 private and affordable apartments as part of redevelopment of the Fulham Gasworks site, and  a mixed-use scheme with over 650 student accommodation in the City of London.​

Kasia's experience spans over 14 years, working for renowned architectural studios in London,  such as Hamiltons & Apt and currently leads the architectural technical design at ARTES London, working  in a variety of exciting projects alongside other professionals like planners, engineers, designers & manufacturers. She is driven by implementing technical design strategies with great attention to detail for project delivery.

ALEXANDER HERRERA-ROJAS

Alex is a Colombian architect graduated from Los Andes University in Bogotá in 2000. His interest in architecture and design was born when growing up surrounded by an environment of constructors, architects, engineers and developers.

Alex’s constant curiosity and enthusiasm of how structures where build, appreciation of materials, textures, colours and respect for the natural environment led him to often visit construction and building sites whilst already at secondary school and work assisting architects on site prior to start his university studies. This is where he started learning the foundations of architecture & construction.

After graduating from university and completing professional registration, he travelled to London to continue his architectural education and research at the prestigious Architectural Association, In 2003 he was awarded a Master of Arts in Environment and Energy from the AA.

Since his AA graduation, he has collaborated with some of the most renowned and international architectural studios in London,  such as Hamiltons, EPR, Perkins+Will (former Pringle Brandon) and Leslie Jones Architecture, and other very large multidisciplinary design firms like Aedas, Atkins & BDP, working on masterplanning, residential, office, retail, hospitality, exhibition, sport cinema venues.

Alex’s work spans over 19 years of experience & involves numerous high-profile projects and competitions, located in the UK, Continental Europe, Middle East, South & The Americas, where he has built an extensive portfolio as consultant in architecture, concept + technical design, working with private clients & continuously collaborating with architectural, interior & construction firms.  In 2016 Alex formed ARTES London.

ARTES London team is a group of a creative, talented, and experienced individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm, looking to undertake the next challenge within the realms of architecture and design.

Our structure and operational system or RCT (Remote Collaboration Team), allows us to access and team up constantly with a variety of highly skilled designers and construction professionals, not only in London, but worldwide.

Working collaboratively, we have constant access to diverse skills, knowledge, and experience that is reflected in the quality of the work we aim to deliver for our clients.

The studio also benefits from our RCT system by keeping our design production running constantly and seamlessly. 

We connect from anywhere around the globe and in different time zones. This reduces carbon footprint by keeping commute to a minimum, it gives our team the opportunity for flexible working hours, and extends and facilitates our design services to other parts of the world.
